Mingan Project

The Mingan Project is a collaborative artistic residency bringing together artists Chantal De Serres (abstract painting) and Catherine Plante (naturalist illustration). It will take place over a one-month period in Havre-Saint-Pierre and on the islands of the Mingan Archipelago in the summer of 2026.

Here we go!

It is with great excitement that we announce our departure for Havre-St-Pierre on June 15, 2026.

Our program for one month:

  • Three days a week, we will go to the Mingan Islands to make sketches, photographic and video captures, as well as observations of the territory.
  • The rest of the time will be dedicated to studio work located on the second floor of the Maison de la culture de Havre-Saint-Pierre. This space will be set up as an open and evolving place, allowing the public to follow the ongoing project.

Our artistic residency will end on July 17, 2026.
