My natural history illustration projects

Since 2018, I have been leading projects close to my heart, all dedicated to highlighting local biodiversity. I combine my knowledge of the environment and my artistic flair to celebrate Quebec's flora and fauna. My art thus aims to be a bridge between science and beauty, an invitation to discover and cherish living things. Each illustration carefully pays tribute to our natural heritage, seeking to raise awareness of the richness and fragility of the species depicted. It is above all a desire to forge a deep connection between the public and nature — to transform each species into a treasure we wish to preserve.

The Mingan Project

The Mingan Project is a research-creation residency that will take place from mid-June to mid-July 2026 in the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve.

Conceived by artists Chantal De Serres (abstract art) and Catherine Plante (naturalist illustration), the project explores, through drawing and painting, the relationship between landscape, geological time, and the fragility of living things.

Biodiversity at the heart of our municipalities

In 2026 and 2027, I will create a collection of eight works celebrating the iconic biodiversity of the eight municipalities in the MRC d'Acton.

This project is made possible through the financial support of the Territorial Partnership Program of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.

The beauty and mystery of Acton's wetlands

Inspired by the natural richness of the five main wetland complexes of the MRC d'Acton, in 2025, I brought to life a collection of five artistic creations celebrating the fauna and flora of these ecosystems.

This project was made possible thanks to the MRC d'Acton Creation Support Grant.

Art to help farmland birds

In 2018, Geena Lemire and I created a collection of artworks and organized an exhibition inspired by Quebec's field birds. This group of birds is experiencing a significant decline due to habitat disturbances. During this exhibition, we committed to donating 20% of artwork sales towards the construction of nest boxes installed in agricultural areas to house some of these species. The project concluded in 2020.
