The original work Ode to Spring is a view of an undergrowth from the ground. In this work we find a beautiful diversity of ferns and spring undergrowth flowers. Spring birds, dark-eyed juncos, are added to the ensemble. This scene is inspired by one of my many kayak trips on the Black River. These offer me a moment of contemplation and a unique perspective of the banks. This work was handmade with inks (acrylic and pigment) and acrylic on 300g acid-free watercolor paper in 2024. A fixative and an anti-UV varnish were applied to the work. The purchase of the original work includes the certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
This artwork is also available as an art print (reproduction). Each reproduction of this limited edition is numbered and hand-signed by the artist. It is printed in the studio with pigment inks on fine art paper, white or natural, 100% cotton, and acid-free. This 12 x 16 inch print is limited to 50 copies and will not be reprinted.
