Original painting - The mystical flight

Original work painted in acrylic on canvas by Catherine Plante artist in 2024.

This work is called Mystical Flight and depicts a group of Canada Geese perched on a lake surrounded by forest. An atmospheric phenomenon, which I was fortunate enough to witness on April 8, 2024, takes place in this painting: a total eclipse of the sun. During this extraordinary event, I felt an almost mystical sense of wonder. I wanted to reproduce this magical twilight atmosphere in this work.

This work is made with acrylic and gold leaf (in the glow of the sun) on a mounted gallery canvas. The edges of the canvas are painted black and a hanging device is installed on the back (sold unframed).
