When art meets nature: a bird rally to stimulate the senses

The bird rally is a special project combining visual art and environmental discovery. It is aimed at everyone, but particularly at schools and senior residences. It transforms observing our environment into an ornithological treasure hunt.

Bird silhouettes, created from illustrations by Catherine Plante, can be installed in various locations throughout the facility (indoors or outdoors, depending on the materials chosen). These faithful reproductions invite users to rediscover their everyday environment from a new perspective, transforming each walk into an adventure of exploration. One or more interpretive panels serve as a guide to identify each species discovered and allow participants to deepen their ornithological knowledge.

  • Basic model: Birdwatcher

    The Amateur Ornithologist model contains 20 life-size silhouettes of birds commonly observed in nature around us. It includes a coroplast (14 x 24 1/4 in) featuring all the birds, their names, and interesting facts about each species.

    The Passionate Birder model contains 40 life-size bird species from Quebec . Some species are commonly seen in the wild around us, while others are more rarely observed.
