Cardinals and the Ginkgo

The original work Milieu humide de Béthanie (Bethany Wetlands) was created as part of the Beautés et mystère des milieux humides d'Acton (Beauty and Mystery of Acton Wetlands) project carried out in 2025. It is my interpretation of the large Bethany wetlands complex.

To explore this immense wetland complex, I was fortunate to be accompanied by experts and landowners who care deeply about this area. They shared with me their valuable knowledge about this exceptional habitat. Orchids and carnivorous plants are the stars of this unique environment, which leaves visitors in awe. The fringed orchid, which thrives here, is a testament to the integrity of this environment. This environment is also rich in wildlife: the copperhead, the red-crowned warbler, and traces of the Canadian beaver give an idea of the range of species found here.

This work was created by hand with inks (acrylic and pigment) and acrylic on acid-free Bristol board in 2025. A fixative and UV-resistant varnish have been applied to the work. The purchase of the original work includes a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. THE ORIGINAL WORK IS SOLD FRAMED in a local wood frame (Upton black walnut) made by Atelier 685.

This work is also available as an art print (reproduction). Each reproduction of this limited edition print is numbered and signed by hand by the artist. It is printed in the studio with pigment inks on natural, 100% cotton, acid-free art paper. The print in this 16 x 12-inch format is limited to 50 copies and will not be reprinted. Sold unframed.
