This educational poster was created from my original ink and acrylic illustrations. It depicts several species of field birds from southern Quebec, Canada. The names of the birds are listed under each species.
Each poster (reproduction) is printed in the artist's studio with pigment inks on fine art paper, white or natural, 100% cotton and acid-free.
Sold unframed.
A small sign containing this information accompanies each poster of wild birds.
“WHAT IS A WILD BIRD?”
Field birds are species that use agricultural environments almost exclusively as nesting habitat.
In recent decades, real estate development on agricultural land and the intensification of cultivation on remaining plots have led to significant changes in farmland bird populations. It is therefore not surprising that these birds are showing the most significant declines of any bird group.
QuébecOiseaux is actively working to protect wild birds, in collaboration with agricultural producers and other stakeholders in rural areas to enable better coexistence between agricultural practices and the birds that depend on these environments.
