The original work *Coeur de sternes* was created during my artist residency in Havre-St-Pierre and the Mingan Islands. During this residency, I was able to immerse myself in the environment of several islands in the archipelago. There, I observed species such as the Arctic tern nesting on the shores of Petite Île au Marteau. When I look at this piece, I can still see their aerial dance and hear their shrill cries.
This work was created by hand using inks (acrylic and pigment) and acrylic paint on acid-free paper in 2026. A fixative and UV-protective varnish were applied to the artwork. I chose to have it framed by Atelier 685 (a framing company that uses local woods). It is therefore framed in white-painted American ash. An archival-quality gray mat enhances the birds’ colors.
Dimensions with frame: 22 1/8 x 17 7/8 inches
Includes a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
