Original painting - The lake heron

Original work painted in acrylic on canvas by Catherine Plante artist in 2022.

This work is called The Heron on the Lake. I wanted to depict a landscape that was both grandiose and peaceful: a lake surrounded by mountains and trees in the early morning. The mist gently descends between the spruce trees and covers part of the lake where we find a Great Blue Heron (Blue Heron). This painting is inspired by a similar scene I saw this fall while passing through the White Mountains (in New Hampshire).

This artwork is done on gallery wrapped canvas (1.5" thick) and the edges of the canvas are painted white. It does not require framing and has a hanging system on the back.
