Cardinals and the Ginkgo

The original work Sainte-Christine Wetland was created as part of the project Beauty and Mystery of Acton Wetlands, completed in 2025. It is my interpretation of the large Sainte-Christine wetland complex.

This place will remain a mystery to me... This immense wetland is unique in that it is completely untamed. After only a few steps into its wooded bog, I lost my sense of direction. The density of this environment, as well as the numerous pools of water, caused me to take multiple detours and lose my bearings. I therefore remained very cautious in my exploration. During my short disoriented visit, I was still able to observe a few gems of biodiversity: the marsh calla lily, a species I had never seen in the wild, particularly amazed me!

This work was created by hand with inks (acrylic and pigment) and acrylic on acid-free Bristol board in 2025. A fixative and UV-protective varnish have been applied to the work. The purchase of the original work includes a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. THE ORIGINAL WORK IS SOLD FRAMED, in a local wood frame (Upton black walnut) made by Atelier 685.

This work is also available as an art print (reproduction). Each reproduction of this limited edition is numbered and signed by hand by the artist. It is printed in the studio with pigment inks on natural art paper, 100% cotton and acid-free. The print run for this 16 x 12 inch format is limited to 50 copies and will not be reprinted. Sold unframed.
