The original artwork The Spring Robin depicts a scene I observed in spring at my home. The early-arriving American robins are feeding on the berries of the staghorn sumac. I love the contrast of colors between the robin's breast and the red berries. At this time of year, migratory birds are hungry, and the berries left in the trees and shrubs, the leaves left on the ground (protecting insects during the winter) are all elements that can help them in this transition period.
This artwork was hand-painted in alcohol ink, pigment ink, and acrylic on 250gsm acid-free Bristol board in 2022. A fixative and UV-protective varnish have been applied to the artwork, but it is recommended to avoid exposure to moisture or direct sunlight.
Format: 10 x 8 inches
Includes certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Sold unframed.
