This work is called Our Natural Icons No. 3 - Saint-Capelin. It represents this beautiful little fish that is a key species in the ecosystem of the northern Gulf of St. Lawrence. Indeed, it is the prey of cod, belugas, rorquals, etc. My capelin are surrounded by gold leaf and silhouettes of St. Lawrence algae. I named the works in this series "icons" in reference to religious symbols because the forests, rivers, and the St. Lawrence are my cathedrals. For me, nature is the purest and most beautiful thing.

This artwork is produced on a cardboard canvas and a hanging device is installed on the back.
