This work is called Our Natural Icons No. 18 - Saint Cardinal. It depicts a beautiful red cardinal perched on a branch, surrounded by a halo of gold leaves and silhouettes of ferns. I named the works in this series "icons" in reference to religious symbols because forests and rivers are my cathedrals. For me, nature is the purest and most beautiful thing there is.

This artwork is created on a cardboard canvas and a hanging device is installed on the back.
