This work is called Our Natural Icons No. 11 - Holy Egret. It depicts a magnificent Great Egret surrounded by gold leaf and fern silhouettes. I love how the raw material brings out the highly detailed illustrations. I named the works in this series "icons" in reference to religious symbols because forests and rivers are my cathedrals. For me, nature is the purest and most beautiful thing.

This artwork is made on raw linen canvas and a hanging device is installed on the back.
